Who Is Follow Through Cleaning?

We are a professional cleaning company run by people who got off the Hamster Wheel.

Contractors love the thrill of the Hamster Wheel- chasing the next deal, the next sale, and the next dollar. In the meantime they lose focus on existing customers, lose accounts and then must climb back on the Hamster Wheel and run even faster because they need the next account to replace the last one.

I’ve run the Hamster Wheel as well as anyone (37 years in the business all positions from janitor to District Manager), Follow Through is my service and I don't run the Hamster Wheel anymore. I would rather have one customer 20 years (and have some) than 20 customers for one year. This makes sense to me and I don't think that the notion being unfashionable makes it wrong.

Follow Through Cleaning is our company. We planned it, we built it, we run it. We own it, not the bank, not a faceless corporation. You deal with people with skin in the game, not ineffective minions.

We started with a burning desire to do things the right way After more than 20 years working in the industry we had vast experience with the wrong way, significantly with our own calamitous experience trying to hit the Big Time on other people’s money. Reverse leverage is a harsh teacher; we lost everything and had to start over in 1992.

When we started over (working 100 hour weeks, some debts must be paid) we had ample time to re-think how a cleaning company should be run and a clean slate to do it with. That company is Follow Through Cleaning:“Honest People in a Dirty Business.” Today we have no long term debt, own our own commercial building free and clear (but drive paid for used cars), have happy employees, satisfied customers and we sleep well at night.
